Brazil the film does not have a vast amount to do with Brazil the country (I hope), but it has an awful lot to do with Terry Gilliam at his absolute brilliant strangest. With an extremely striking visual style and more than its fair share of black humour, Brazil is the story of a nightmarish 'perfect' future where technology and efficiency are the forces that rule the world and secret police monitor everyone and forbid the emergence of such inefficient concepts as 'love'.
Also CONTENT WARNINGS: There is implied gore but almost none actually shown, however some people may well find the imagery and the visual style extremely disturbing and the themes handled by this film are dark.
